The Choctaw Health Center is a 3 story 180,000 square foot healthcare facility that provides a full range of health and wellness services to our tribal population. The Choctaw Health Center also operates 3 rural health clinics (Bogue Chitto, Conehatta, and Red Water) to meet the healthcare needs of tribal members residing in outlying communities.
Choctaw Health Center has been awarded LEED Gold by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Hitok (Past): 1926
A service once ran under the Department of Interior in the efforts to improve and prevent eradication of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. Health care in its early stage was emerging to address the simplest of health care needs for the then 3,000 Choctaw tribal members.
Himaka (Present): 1976
Beautifully situated in the red clay hills, located on the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indian
reservation, the 58,000 square foot building erected in 1975 has been serving health care at the heart of the
tribe for over 10,000 tribal members. A delivery system designed to provide
comprehensive health care in the efforts to improve the overall health of the tribal population it serves.
Hihchi (Future): 2015
Coming spring of 2015, the 178,000 square foot state of the art health care facility is set to expand the medical care needs for the
tribal population, with the envision of providing expanded and enhanced health care within the health care system.
