Early Detection Matters: Schedule Your Mammogram Today!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, encourage prevention, and remind women of the importance of prioritizing their health.
At Choctaw Health Center, we believe that early detection can save lives. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women, but when detected early, treatment is often more successful. Regular mammograms play an important role in identifying changes in breast tissue, sometimes before symptoms appear.
Take Charge of Your Breast Health
Making time for your health is one of the most important things you can do for yourself and your loved ones. Choctaw Health Center encourages women to stay proactive by scheduling their recommended breast cancer screenings.
Choctaw Health Center's Screening Recommendations:
- Ages 35–39: Baseline mammogram.
- Ages 40 and older: Annual mammogram.
Women with a family history of breast cancer or other risk factors should speak with their healthcare provider about when to begin screening.
A Little Something Special for You!
To show our appreciation for taking an important step toward better health, patients who schedule their mammogram will receive a complimentary goodie bag!
It's our small way of saying thank you for making your health a priority.
