Environmental services (EVS) personnel have the shared responsibility to help stop healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) from spreading by working with colleagues, prioritizing areas that pose immediate safety risks, and following guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting.

Services Provided

• Following hand hygiene protocol and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPB)
• Ensuring availability and access to hand sanitizer and soap throughout the Choctaw Health Center
• Using proper disinfectants, cleaning agents and supplies that meet state and federal infection control standards
• Inspections and rounding to monitor compliance of our cleaning and disinfection process.
• Clean and disinfect areas that are low and high-traffic flow including our emergency rooms, waiting areas, hallways, restrooms, elevators.
