At the Choctaw Health Center, we are dedicated to enhancing the hearing and communication abilities of our community members. Our mission is to assist individuals of all ages in achieving better hearing health and overall well-being.

Services We Offer
Hearing Evaluations
Balance Assessments
- Diagnostic Test (Hearing testing to determine degree and nature of hearing loss) patients place cursor on this on it shows the highlighted definition
- Tympanometry (Test that assesses the middle ear, which consists of the eardrum and three small bones that connect the eardrum to the inner ear.)
- Baseline Hearing Test (First hearing test that provides a starting point for future comparison)

Who Can Benefit?
Our services are designed for all community members, including:
- Individuals experiencing hearing difficulties
- Those needing balance evaluations
- Patients seeking rehabilitation for hearing loss
Eligibility
- Patient must be registered tribal member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians to receive full services.
- A native non-tribal member is eligible to receive a hearing test only.
Scheduling
Appointments are available only on Wednesdays.
Hearing Evaluation Process
- Full audio-logical evaluation completed br our board certified audiologist.
- Based on the result, the audiologist will recommend the most appropriate hearing aid for the patient's hearing loss.
Important Information
Please keep in mind that a hearing test must be completed by the Choctaw Health Center - Audiology Department. Any outside hearing evaluations will not be honored.
Referred Services
Patients that required further services that are not available at Choctaw Health Center Audiology are referred to:
- Meridian Ear, Nose & Throat Clinic
- University Mississippi Medical Center Audiology
