Crisis Intervention and Management
A 24/7 service that assists in stabilizing individuals and families experiencing urgent stressful, emotional, and behavioral events. Those experiencing a mental health crisis can call the Emergency On-call number or report to Choctaw Health Center - Emergency Department and request and consent to mental health services. The Emergency Department will contact a trained Behavioral Health provider who will assist in stabilizing the situation, developing short-term plans, and providing referrals for inpatient acute care services or next-day mental health follow-up for continued safety and well-being.
- While walk-ins are accepted, it's always a good idea to call ahead to confirm if there is space for walk-in appointments, especially during busy times.
- Be prepared to wait: Depending on the clinic's volume, you may need to wait for a short period before seeing a provider.
- Provide basic information: When checking in, be ready to share your name, contact details, insurance coverage, CDIB, and a brief description of why you are seeking care
- Emergency situations: If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, inform the staff immediately and they may direct you to appropriate emergency services.
