Suicide Prevention, Intervention and Postvention (SPIP) Project
The Suicide Prevention, Intervention and Postvention (SPIP) Project was implemented to address the public health concern of suicide and substance use. SPIP objectives are to improve care coordination, expand behavioral health care services through the use of culturally appropriate evidence and practice-based models to address the issues of suicide and substance use, and to develop activities for the Generation Indigenous (Gen-I) initiative by implementing early intervention strategies for AI/AN youth at-risk for substance use and suicidal behavior and any proposed activities for the adult population.
