About
Public Health Services serve the general health and preventative health needs of the adult. adolescent, pediatrics and geriatric clients of the :rvIBCI and other tribal enrolled Il-1S recipients, of all that live in and around the surrounding Choctaw Reservation communities. including the Henning & Western Tennessee area.
Our goal is to enable tribal members to enable tribal members to achieve optimal health by improving each individual's health knowledge, attitudes, and practices about health by promoting, supporting and assisting Choctaw Health Center with health care delivery at the community level. Also, share the responsibility of patient & community screenings for health problems, health education, prevention and follow-up of medical care through several programs.
Tuberculosis Control, Sexually Transmitted Infectioll/Disease/HIV Control, Public Health Nursing, and Outreach services. Community Health Technicians Public Health assists with certain supplies when ordered by providers.

- School and dormitory health education
- Clinical referral home visits
- STI counseling and follow-up
- Communicable and infectious disease monitoring
- Wound care management
- Home delivery of medications to elders and handicapped patients.
Supplies are available for patients. Per doctors orders
You will submit your prescription to the PHS receptionist. A file will be created for you. After it is created, then the receptionist will retrieve the supplies. In special cases, we may not have items in stock, we will place an order and will give you an update of when it will be in.
